Tinnitus And Its Remedies

Tinnitus is something completely personal and unique to everyone. A ringing in your ears or head which can just start suddenly or gradually increase. Tinnitus sufferers experience different noises at different times and for varying lengths of time. Some people find their tinnitus loud and continuous whilst others may not even know they have it. As there is no actual source of the sound, tinnitus is very difficult to measure. There are so many tinnitus remedies and alternative techniques to cure your tinnitus.

Causes:

One of the common causes of tinnitus is stress / anxiety. And one of the reasons for being in a stressed or anxious state is that your central nervous system has triggered a 'fight or flight' situation, a 'red alert'.

This is a natural primeval state in which your senses are heightened, so that you can react very quickly to danger. In modern life though, this can happen when there is no physical danger, but when there is a 'perceived' problem. This could be a simple as constantly worrying about work, bills, family, etc.

Some of the conventional drugs and medicines that have been used in clinical research have achieved minimal success with patients experiencing tinnitus. Some of the conventional drugs used include:


o Anticonvulsants
o Antihistamines
o Anti-anxiety
o Antidepressants
o Anaesthetics

Tinnitus may be considered a significant symptom when its intensity so overrides normal environmental sounds that it invades the consciousness. The patient experiencing tinnitus may describe the sound as ringing, roaring, hissing, whistling, chirping, rustling, clicking or buzzing, or other descriptors. Tinnitus usually produces a shrill, high-pitched, unpleasant tone. In contrast, water and masking sounds are typically soothing.

Tinnitus is a symptom associated with many forms of hearing loss. It can also be a symptom of other health problems. Tinnitus can also be a symptom of stiffening of the middle ear bones (otosclerosis). Tinnitus can be very mild in loudness and only noticeable in a quiet room/bedtime or it can become extremely loud and annoying to the point where the sufferer hears nothing else. It can be present all of the time, can be intermittent, and/or pulsing.

Some natural tinnitus remedies to help beat your tinnitus are:-

1.Stress reduction through exercising (walking, swimming, running), reading, listening to relaxing music, meditation, yoga, etc.

2.Lowering high blood pressure by reducing salt intake, low fat diet, reducing caffeine and alcohol intake, exercising as above, etc.

3.Eating plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables to ensure you have the proper level and range of vitamins and minerals

4.Always wearing ear protectors in noisy environments, to prevent hearing loss / further hearing loss.

Lower your stress level:It is widely known that stress can increase the intensity of tinnitus. Stress always exists in our life and emerge under different situations, some of which are not in our control. But what is stress? It's basically how you react to a particular circumstance. Therefore, you would want to train yourself to take things more easily, so that you won't react so easily to stressful events. It will also be useful if you learn some techniques of relaxation.
